A Cultural Collaboration: Splendore Unique and Slawn Team Up to Create Bespoke Rolex DateJust
In an extraordinary fusion of art and horology, Splendore Unique teamed up with acclaimed artist Slawn to offer ten lucky collectors the chance to own a one-of-a-kind masterpiece: a customised Rolex DateJust 41 featuring Slawn’s “Berlin” artwork on the dial. Known as “art dials,” these innovative creations blend an artist’s vision with the luxury of a high-end watch, transforming each timepiece into a wearable work of art. When allocations opened to the public on 25th June 2024, this exclusive release sold out in approximately four minutes, marking it as one of the year’s most anticipated drops.
The canvas for this collaboration was the Rolex DateJust 41 in full steel, with collectors offered the option of either the oyster or jubilee bracelet. The dial featured Slawn’s vibrant “Berlin” artwork, brought to life by Splendore Unique’s unparalleled expertise in dial design. Preserving the grainy, textured effect of Slawn’s original canvas, each dial was printed individually using a unique technique, then finished with an enamel layer to seal in the artwork with a lasting shine.
The lead-up to the release only added to the excitement, with a vibrant animated promotion narrated by Lil Yachty. The campaign captured attention across the entertainment industry, making it clear that this was a milestone collaboration.
